Maddy Hope-Hodgetts

Maddy is a young Wangaaypuwan/Ngiyambaa and Wiradjuri artist and cultural educator, who was born and raised on our beloved Central Coast, NSW (Darkinjung land). Her cultural connection is through her mother. Her family’s country is centered around the Macquarie, Bogan, Cudgegong, Talbragar and Castlereagh Rivers of Central and Western NSW.

At a very young age, she has found her true passion for the arts and fashion and is achieving impressive milestones on these endeavours already.

Her biggest goal is to communicate, through her art and practice, the beauty of First Nations cultures. She wants to create a teaching moment for both Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples, with her work acting as a reminder that we are all living on Mother Earth and so we must come together to care for her.
